If you’ve ever felt confused about what to eat to support your fertility you’re not alone. There’s so much conflicting advice out there – do this, don’t eat that – it’s overwhelming.

Here’s my top advice:

  • Food is your first line of fertility support. What you eat can directly impact egg quality, ovulation, and even your uterine lining.
  • Whole foods matter. Focus on fruits, veggies, whole grains, nuts, seeds, fish and lean proteins – foods as close to their natural form as possible.
  • Eat the rainbow. Different colors = different nutrients. Aim for a variety of produce every day, with extra leafy greens.
  • Choose organic when you can. Even small swaps can reduce your exposure to pesticides and hormone disruptors.
  • Protein is key. Include high-quality sources like eggs, legumes, fish, nuts and seeds. Plant-based proteins can be especially powerful for fertility.
  • Watch gluten and sugar. Both can contribute to inflammation, hormone imbalance and blood sugar issues that may impact fertility.
  • The Mediterranean way works. This style of eating: rich in fish, legumes, olive oil, veggies and healthy fats – has been shown to be one of the best models for fertility.

And here’s something I remind my clients all the time: nourishment is more than just what’s on your plate. Joy, rest, connection and balance are also powerful fertility foods.
