Sep 23, 2020 | Fertility, Nutrition | 0 comments

Did you know… A diet higher in plant-based protein – rather than animal protein – has been shown to reduce the risk of infertility, including ovulatory infertility.

Beans are an excellent choice. high in protein and:

  • Iron
  • B vitamins
  • Magnesium
  • Potassium
  • Fiber

But they make you bloated or gassy? Try these tips for cooking dried beans:

  • Use a pressure cooker
  • Add sea salt after cooking
  • Add a piece of dried kombu to the pot before cooking
  • Cook with cumin, garlic or fennel
  • Add a splash of apple cider vinegar to the cooking water

Also, smaller beans are easier to digest (Hello, lentils).
