In the latest episode of the Cycles and Seasons podcast, I had the pleasure of speaking with Erin Walker, a Licensed Acupuncturist specializing in fertility and perinatal care, and the owner of Boston Integrated Health in Boston, MA. We had a wide-ranging conversation about the world of acupuncture and its holistic benefits for women trying to conceive.
I asked Erin what led her to become an acupuncturist focusing on fertility and from there, we spoke about:
- The ways acupuncture can support your whole body, including your menstrual cycle and fertility
- The philosophy behind acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine
- What happens in an acupuncture session, and what if you’re afraid of needles
- The benefit of working with a fertility acupuncturist when you’re trying to conceive naturally or with fertility treatment – and what treatment might look like
- What the research does – and doesn’t – say regarding acupuncture and fertility
- The Yin and Yang of your menstrual cycle
- What Arvigo Mayan Abdominal Massage is, and how it can benefit your fertility and encourage connection to your body
- Acupuncture can be an important component to a whole-body approach to fertility and well-being.
I definitely learned a few things in my conversation with Erin, and I hope you do, too.
