Last Thursday evening, I led an in-person Perimenopause Woman’s Circle. It was my honor to support these women in such an intimate setting. We talked about where they were struggling, and I shared information and resources to support them. It’s so important to have helpers and healers when you’re navigating hormonal changes.

“I just don’t know where to start” and “I’m so uninformed” were common sentiments.

Like most hormonal milestones in our lives – puberty, fertility, pregnancy, post-partum – women are not prepared for the changes our bodies experience in perimenopause. We’re just not having honest conversations with our moms, our friends or our health care providers. And like the circle, once you start Googling, your social media feeds are flooded with perimenopause content, but it’s overwhelming and you just don’t know who to trust.

So, where to start? How to be better informed?

With about 95% of my clients, we start with nutrition to help manage perimenopause symptoms including weight gain, brain fog, achy joints and digestive issues. And then depending on the individual situation, we might next address sleep issues, stress management, physical activity or even mind/body work. Every woman is unique in her experience.

And what we learned in that Woman’s Circle is that being seen, being heard and having support is incredibly important.

If you’re not sure where to start or what info you need to feel better on your perimenopause journey, schedule a free perimenopause support session. I’d be honored to talk with you.

xo,
Jennifer
