I had the honor and privilege of working with Kendra, a client who was so dedicated to reclaiming her health and wellness on her fertility journey. She had been trying to get and stay pregnant for 6 years. I asked her some questions about her journey that I thought would be helpful and supportive to share with my community. Here’s her story:

What was going on for you before you took a more natural and holistic approach to your health and fertility?
I had tried managing my stress, my exercise, and food and beverage intake on my own and I felt like it was never enough, disorganized, and not helping me. If I was managing my food intake and my exercise, I was drinking too much wine at night and too much coffee in the morning (for me!). It never felt balanced. In addition, after years of fertility treatments, I had decided that I would do one more FET (and already had the frozen embryo ready to go on my say). I wanted to do everything I possibly could to feel as healthy as I could. I didn’t want to regret not taking the time to get some help.

Why did you choose to work with me?
After our first conversation, I just felt like we clicked! I love your intelligent and thoughtful way of talking with me, not at me. You listened to my long stories and quickly noticed that the healthy eating piece was only one part of the puzzle for me. I needed more help with balance and stress reduction, some of which would come from easier ways to get more nutrient-dense food into my body.

What have been your results?
I got and stayed pregnant! I thought I might lose some weight before starting my FET cycle, but it was minimal (maybe 8 – 10 lbs.). However, my health stats with my OB are excellent today (at 29 weeks)! Blood pressure, weight gain, glucose test, etc. are all in excellent ranges, which I attribute to my reduced stress and my more balanced nutritional intake.

What made you happiest about working with me?
That I learned how to better care for myself, which means I’m so much more ready to care for another human! I’ve learned how to balance my intense job with my other activities; I meditate daily; I quit drinking (almost 100 days before getting pregnant); I am setting boundaries with difficult people and choices in my life; and I just feel more like myself than I ever have in my entire adult life. Also, for the first time that I can remember, I am proud of the work I did on myself to be a better person and I really think that stemmed from our time together.

What would you say to someone considering working with me?
It’s worth the investment. The time and the cost can be a lot and that was a delaying point for me (I began to follow Jennifer on IG a couple years before I began working with her after hearing about her from my fertility doctor). But, I also didn’t go into the time working with Jennifer, assuming that this would be a panacea for my infertility, and even if I did not get pregnant, I was prepared to integrate changes for my overall health improvement going forward in life. Working with her is so much more than just fertility!

I hope you found this inspiring. If you’re wondering if working with me might be a good fit for you, let’s schedule a call to find out. Just fill out this form.

Jennifer
