Struggling with low energy, fatigue throughout the day, weight gain, bloating or cravings on top of infertility?
Try the breakfast experiment.
It’s easy to set yourself up for blood sugar disaster by eating fruity yogurt, granola, cereal and other seemingly healthy foods for breakfast.
But here’s the truth –so many common breakfast foods are high in sugar, causing your blood sugar to spike quickly. When this happens first thing in the morning, you’re setting yourself up for a day of cravings and energy dips. And you’re not doing your fertility any favors.
Instead, spend a week figuring out your perfect breakfast.
Eat something different each morning and track what happens through your day. Try different options:
- Yogurt one day
- Eggs another
- Oatmeal (or overnight oats)
- A protein smoothie
- Half a chicken breast, if you’re up for it.
Keep an eye on your energy levels throughout the day and you’ll get a clear idea of what you need in the morning to stay focused and strong all day.
And don’t be surprised If your perfect breakfast is something non-traditional. It’s all about finding what’s right for you.
(I had chicken soup for breakfast today.)
